Buenos Aires, March 17 (NA) — After a week of intense media exposure, Cabinet Chief Manuel Adorni heads a new political meeting. The meeting takes place amid new evidence in the "$Libra" case and days after the controversy over his flight to Punta del Este with his family.
According to the Argentine News Agency, it is expected that this morning at 11:00, ministers Diego Santilli (Interior) and Luis Caputo (Economy); the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Martín Menem, and national lawmaker Eduardo "Lule" Menem; the head of the LLA bloc in the Senate, Patricia Bullrich; the Secretary of Strategic Affairs, Ignacio Devitt; and the presidential advisor, Santiago Caputo, will meet in the ground floor offices of the Casa Rosada. The Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, could also be present, as she is accustomed to participating and is the first to order the libertarian troops behind the figure of the coordinating minister after it became known that her wife, Bettina Angeletti, was part of the presidential delegation that traveled on the ARG 01 to the United States with President Javier Milei.
Formally, the meeting will allow the ruling coalition to establish the keys of the legislative agenda to map out the negotiations that the actors designated by the president will carry out. In recent days, following the controversy surrounding Manuel Adorni, new developments have emerged in the "$Libra" case after the examination of Mauricio Novelli's phone revealed possible conversations with government members on the night of February 14, 2025.
This will also be the first meeting after the cabinet changes, after Mariano Cúneo Libraña and Sebastián Amerio, a judicial figure who answers to presidential advisor Santiago Caputo, left the Ministry of Justice and were replaced by Juan Bautista Mahiques and Santiago Viola, both approved by the younger Milei. The changes implemented by the official appear to be continuing in the coming days, as this agency has reported. Until then, it is only known that they will insist on obtaining the remaining half-approval of the modification of the Glaciers Law and will send the University Financing Law to Congress.
Similarly, several violeta actors agree on the need to address the political reform that will alter the current voting system ahead of the 2027 presidential elections, in which La Libertad Avanza is already working to secure Milei's re-election.
The meeting also serves as a crisis containment instance after the Executive branch went through one of its most complex weeks in the media and judicial spheres. This is because Karina Milei supervises with strict attention every area of the administration to replace teams and be able to expand her influence.
